Bright Crystal, inspired by Versace Bright Crystal (2006)

A chilled, fruity opening defines Bright Crystal: yuzu gives a tart citrus edge and pomegranate a tangy red-fruit note, while the iced accord makes everything feel cold to the touch. Peony and magnolia soon come forward, clean and dewy rather than heady, with lotus adding a watery floral tone. The drydown is quiet, mostly musk with a little vegetal amber and mahogany, a smooth wood note. It stays transparent from start to finish.

About the original

Versace introduced Bright Crystal in 2006 as an eau de toilette in a pink bottle, and Alberto Morillas is credited with the composition. It is usually described as the lighter, fruitier counterpart to Crystal Noir, which takes a spicier and darker route. Versace later added Bright Crystal Absolu and a Parfum version; this page follows the original eau de toilette.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Versace stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

What is the difference between Bright Crystal and Crystal Noir?

Bright Crystal is a fresh fruity floral built on yuzu, pomegranate and peony. Crystal Noir is darker, opening with spices and settling on gardenia and amber. We make both.

The original Versace Bright Crystal eau de toilette from 2006, not Bright Crystal Absolu or the Parfum.

Is Bright Crystal sweet?

Only mildly. Pomegranate gives some fruitiness, but the iced accord and lotus keep it fresh.
