Idole Now, inspired by Lancôme Idôle Now (2023)

Idole Now is built on three main ingredients, and each one has room to show. The rose comes first, fresh and lifted. An orchid accord follows, and orchid in perfume usually means a soft, powdery floral tone rather than a strong flower smell. Vanilla closes it with a smooth, creamy base, so the sweetness arrives late and stays gentle.

About the original

Lancôme launched Idole Now in 2023 as a flanker of Idole, the original of 2019. A Malaysian launch article credits the same three perfumers as the first Idole: Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina and Nadège Le Garlantezec. Lancôme marketed it around what it called green science: a rose essence recombined with its own distillation water, an orchid accord captured by headspace technology, and a biotech-derived natural vanillin. The same article also mentions pear, patchouli and a clean accord.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lancôme stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Wearers who want rose with a powdery, rounded finish are its natural match. Retailers class it as an amber floral. The powder from the orchid accord may not appeal to anyone looking for a dewy, green rose.
