Miss Dior Parfum, inspired by Dior Miss Dior Parfum (2024)

Mandarin gives the first spray a clean citrus lift before the jasmine takes over. Dior treats that jasmine so its fruity side comes forward, and wild strawberry, peach and apricot give it a pink, almost jammy tint. Underneath sits a dense layer of ambery woods, patchouli and Alaskan cedar with a little moss, which is what earns it the chypre label. It stays noticeably sweeter and rounder than a classic mossy chypre.

About the original

Francis Kurkdjian, Dior's Perfume Creation Director since 2021, created Miss Dior Parfum as a new Parfum concentration of the line in 2024. He describes it as a contemporary chypre aimed at a younger wearer. The bottle carries a houndstooth engraving and the familiar bow, and a limited holiday case illustrated by Pietro Ruffo followed the same year with the same juice inside. It is a separate fragrance from Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2021), Blooming Bouquet and the other flankers.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Dior stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Fans of fruity florals who find most chypres too austere are the natural audience. The fruit is obvious and the base is heavy with patchouli, so anyone hoping for the green, bitter chypres of earlier decades will find this one too sugared.

Kurkdjian calls it a contemporary chypre. It keeps the patchouli and moss base but is sweeter and fruitier than the classic style.
