Scandal Le Parfum, inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Le Parfum (2022)

Only three notes are listed for Scandal Le Parfum, and each is given plenty of room. Salted caramel is the centre of gravity, buttery and sweet with a savoury edge from the salt. Jasmine sits over it, adding a heady floral note, and vanilla carries the base. Launch press called it intense, and the sweetness is front and centre.

About the original

Jean Paul Gaultier launched Scandal Le Parfum in June 2022, first through Nocibé in France, as the intense flanker of Scandal (2017). A men's Scandal Pour Homme Le Parfum, built on geranium, tonka and sandalwood, came out at the same time and is a different scent. Retail copy credits the women's version to Fabrice Pellegrin, Daphné Bugey and Ane Ayo. Scandal Intense, a separate eau de parfum from 2025, sits alongside it in Gaultier's range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Jean Paul Gaultier stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Gourmand lovers are the clear audience: caramel and vanilla dominate, and jasmine adds floral richness rather than freshness. It is a poor match for someone after a light, airy floral.

Is this the women's or the men's Scandal Le Parfum?

The women's, launched in 2022. Scandal Pour Homme Le Parfum is a separate men's fragrance; we make the men's Scandal Pour Homme.

How is it different from the original Scandal?

Scandal (2017) is the original. Le Parfum is its intense flanker, built around jasmine, salted caramel and vanilla. We also make Scandal and So Scandal.

Is Scandal Le Parfum the same as Scandal Intense?

No. Scandal Intense is a separate eau de parfum from 2025, and Jean Paul Gaultier sells both.
