Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi, inspired by Kilian Paris Voulez-vous coucher avec Moi (2015)

White flowers dominate from the first spray, though they are rounded off rather than raw. Tuberose and gardenia give the classic heady, slightly buttery bloom, and ylang-ylang adds a custard-like richness. Vanilla and sandalwood then blur the edges, so the drydown becomes hazy and powdery. Kafkaesque found the whole effect refined.

About the original

Alberto Morillas created it in 2015 for By Kilian's A Night in the Garden of Good and Evil, which sets it apart in a series otherwise dominated by Calice Becker. The brand describes it as elusive and elegant, built on radiant gardenia, ylang-ylang and tuberose. It remains in Kilian's range today, filed under The Narcotics.

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kilian Paris (formerly By Kilian) stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

White-floral devotees are the obvious audience, particularly those who like tuberose tamed by vanilla. The powdery finish may disappoint someone looking for a green or dewy take on tuberose. Its sweetness comes from vanilla and the custardy ylang rather than from fruit.
