Forever

Forever, inspired by Moschino Forever (2011)

Citrus and anise set the tone: kumquat brings a tart, small-orange zest, while star anise adds a liquorice-like spice. Clary sage, a herb with a musky, slightly tea-like smell, then leads the heart with pepper. Tonka bean contributes a gentle almond and hay sweetness that links it to classic fougères, the herbal family behind much barbershop perfumery. The base of vetiver, sandalwood and musk is clean and quiet.

About the original

Moschino released Forever in 2011 as an eau de toilette for men. A flanker, Forever Sailing, followed later and is a separate scent. Forever is no longer listed on Moschino's own site or in the range of its fragrance licensee, Euroitalia, and remaining bottles have reportedly been sold off at a discount. No withdrawal date has been confirmed.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Moschino stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its mood is fresh and uplifting, and the anise and sage give it a slightly retro edge. Star anise is noticeable early on, which may not appeal to people who dislike liquorice.

So far, we have found no announcement from Moschino that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
