Super Gorgeous, inspired by Michael Kors Super Gorgeous! (2021)

Myrrh in the top gives an unusual resinous, faintly medicinal start beneath bergamot and mandarin. White flowers then arrive in abundance, led by jasmine sambac and ylang-ylang, with orange blossom and a dry, powdery orris root behind them. Frankincense, sandalwood and tonka bean form an incense-tinged base, and the brand's own copy also speaks of a tobacco accord and creamy amber.

About the original

Super Gorgeous! was announced in July 2021 as an intense flanker of Gorgeous! (2020) and sold at Macy's in 100 ml. Michael Kors called it a woody floral, though one retailer classifies it as a floral oriental. It launched as the licence was moving from Estée Lauder to EuroItalia, and it is no longer in the brand's current lineup. The original Gorgeous! is still on sale at retailers.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Michael Kors stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Where Gorgeous! is lighter, this flanker leans resinous and dense, with incense and tonka under the flowers. Ylang-ylang and sambac are both heady, so it can feel too heady for people who prefer subtle florals.
