Flora Gorgeous Magnolia, inspired by Gucci Flora Gorgeous Magnolia (2023)

Flora Gorgeous Magnolia keeps its structure simple. A dewberry accord, modelled on a dark fruit related to the blackberry, gives the opening a jammy sweetness. Magnolia follows with a lemony, creamy floral tone that sits somewhere between white flowers and citrus. Patchouli essence then pulls everything down onto an earthy, faintly woody base, which is what gives it a chypre feel rather than a purely fruity one.

About the original

Gucci launched Flora Gorgeous Magnolia in 2023 as the third eau de parfum in the Flora Gorgeous line, after Gardenia in 2021 and Jasmine in 2022. It arrived with the Floral Fantasy campaign starring Miley Cyrus, in a purple lacquered bottle printed with the Flora pattern. Gucci describes the composition as fruity, floral and chypre. It is a different scent from Flora by Gucci Glamorous Magnolia, an earlier eau de toilette.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Gucci stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its mix of jammy fruit and earthy patchouli gives it more weight than a straightforward floral bouquet. Patchouli shows clearly in the drydown, so this is a poor match for someone who dislikes earthy notes.

No. This is Flora Gorgeous Magnolia, the 2023 eau de parfum. Flora by Gucci Glamorous Magnolia was an earlier eau de toilette from the Flora Garden Collection.
