Verbena, a lemon-scented herb, sets the tone with lemon, giving a zesty, leafy freshness rather than candied citrus. About the original

Verbenas of Provence was one of Jo Malone's early colognes, sold in 30 ml and 100 ml and usually dated to 1995, though one source gives 2005. Its theme was summer in the French countryside, and a matching bath oil was also made. It no longer appears in Jo Malone London's UK or US cologne ranges or in the online Archive Collection, and fans have reported it discontinued since around 2013. It is unrelated to other verbena fragrances such as L'Occitane Verbena.
