Eros Energy is citrus from top to middle: bergamot, blood orange and lime first, then mandarin, grapefruit and lemon. The effect is fizzy and tangy, with the blood orange giving a slight redness to the fruit. Underneath, patchouli and oakmoss add an earthy, slightly mossy depth, while musk keeps the finish clean. One reviewer compared that earthy drydown to Creed Aventus.

About the original

Versace announced Eros Energy in July 2024, with the UK launch on 1 September 2024. It is a flanker of the original Versace Eros from 2012. The perfumer has not been published. Press lists also mention pink peppercorn and blackcurrant alongside the citrus, so note lists vary.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Versace stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Spring and summer daytime suit it best, according to one reviewer. It stays zesty and clean, with moss and patchouli rather than sweetness carrying the base. The finish is drier and earthier than the opening, which is worth knowing for a buyer who mainly wants citrus.

One reviewer compared its earthy drydown to Aventus. The opening, though, is pure citrus, so the two read differently at first spray.
