Wanted, inspired by Azzaro Wanted (2016)

Wanted opens with lemon and fresh ginger, a zesty, slightly peppery start. Cardamom follows, adding an aromatic spice that bridges the citrus and the woods. Vetiver gives the base a dry, earthy line, while tonka bean and amberwood bring a smooth warmth that grows as it settles. Azzaro sums it up as freshness combined with the smooth warmth of tonka bean.

About the original

Azzaro launched Wanted in 2016 as an eau de toilette, in a bottle shaped like a revolver cylinder. Fabrice Pellegrin is usually credited as the perfumer, with Olivier Cresp also listed in some databases. Azzaro highlighted three sustainably sourced materials: Guatemalan cardamom, Haitian vetiver and Brazilian tonka bean. The name has since spread to flankers such as Wanted by Night and The Most Wanted, so this page is specifically the original 2016 eau de toilette.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Azzaro stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Opinion on Wanted is divided. Fans like the way it moves from fresh to sweet and find it versatile, while critics find the sweetness and synthetic edge too much. It makes sense for a buyer who wants citrus and spice with a smoother, ambery finish rather than a purely crisp scent.

Our reference is the original Azzaro Wanted eau de toilette from 2016. The Most Wanted (2021) is a sweeter cardamom and toffee flanker, which we also make.

Is it the men's Wanted or Wanted Girl?

The men's. Wanted Girl is a separate women's fragrance that shares the name.
