Allure Homme, inspired by Chanel Allure Homme (1999)

Bergamot gives Allure Homme a crisp, clean start. Vetiver comes through in the heart, grassy and woody, keeping the scent dry. Underneath, tonka bean and labdanum (a resin from the rockrose shrub with an ambery smell) bring a rounded sweetness, while black pepper adds a gentle spark. It balances freshness and warmth evenly, without leaning hard either way.

About the original

Jacques Polge, Chanel's in-house perfumer, created Allure Homme in 1999 as the men's partner to the women's Allure from 1996. Chanel describes it as fresh, spicy and woody. Several flankers have followed: Allure Homme Sport in 2004, Édition Blanche in 2008 and Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême in 2012. The 1999 eau de toilette is the version described on this page.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Chanel stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

From the office to formal evenings, it adapts without fuss. The base is smoother and slightly sweeter than the fresh opening suggests, so men looking for a purely citrus or aquatic scent may prefer Allure Homme Sport.

It is inspired by Allure Homme from 1999. Allure Homme Sport (2004) is a fresher flanker built on mandarin, cedar and white musk, which we also make.

Is this the men's version of Chanel Allure?

Yes. Allure Homme is the men's fragrance in the line; the women's Allure from 1996 is a separate scent, also in our range.
