Bergamot and freesia give a short, airy start before coconut and monoi take hold. Monoi is a Tahitian oil of tiare flowers steeped in coconut, and here it brings that sun-lotion feel. Ylang-ylang, gardenia and orange blossom build a lush white-floral heart on top of it. Vanilla, musk and ambroxan, a mineral, ambery molecule, carry it into a golden, skin-like finish.

About the original

Lust for Sun arrived in March 2023 as a single eau de parfum. Juliette Has a Gun calls it the sun in a bottle and files it under solar, floral and gourmand. The brand presents its range without splitting it by gender, so this sits as a shared scent. No perfumer is named in the sources we checked.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Juliette Has a Gun stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its whole character is tropical and sunny, built on coconut and white flowers, so it suits people who enjoy that holiday mood. If coconut or heady ylang-ylang tends to bother you, this is likely to feel too rich.
