Royal Mayfair, inspired by Creed Royal Mayfair (2015)

Eucalyptus is what you notice first, cool and camphor-like, alongside bergamot and orange. Rose, jasmine and tuberose follow, though they come across as green rather than lush. Ambroxan, a modern material with a clean, salty, ambergris-like glow, carries the base with cedar and musk. Creed sums it up as green, invigorating and British.

About the original

Creed first released this scent in 2009 as a short-lived limited edition, then reissued it in 2015 under the Royal Mayfair name. The house later revived it from its archive in a version it calls 'heightened', covered in its journal in October 2024. The name refers to Creed's London tailoring origins and its Mayfair flagship. How far the current version differs from the 2015 one has not been detailed.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Creed stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Not every floral lover will take to it, because the eucalyptus opening is distinctly herbal and cooling. Once that settles, it becomes a clean, gently floral wood that Creed sells as unisex.

No. They share the 'Royal' prefix but are different scents: Royal Mayfair is a eucalyptus and floral woody, Royal Oud a smoky oud. We make both.

Which version of Royal Mayfair is this based on?

The current Royal Mayfair Eau de Parfum as Creed sells it today. Creed describes the revived version as 'heightened' but has not listed the changes.
