A sunset over the sea is the image Tom Ford chose, and the scent moves from sparkle to glow in the same way. Pink peppercorn and cardamom spark the bergamot, while violet leaf adds a green, slightly watery edge. Tuberose sits at the centre, with magnolia and coconut water lending it a milky, beachy smoothness. As it settles, benzoin and amber turn the floral heart golden over sandalwood.

About the original

Soleil de Feu arrived in March 2023 as the fourth chapter of the Private Blend Soleil series, after Soleil Blanc, Soleil Neige and Soleil Brûlant. The brand calls it an amber woody fragrance built on a tuberose accord with ambers and sandalwood. It shares its name with a Tom Ford make-up collection, but this page refers to the perfume.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Tom Ford stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Sunset and summer are the brand's framing, but the amber and benzoin give it more weight than a typical beach scent. Coconut water is a supporting note rather than the lead, and the tuberose can read as heady to people who avoid big white flowers.

A little. Coconut water sits in the heart beside tuberose and magnolia, giving a milky smoothness rather than a suntan-lotion effect.
