Virgin Island Water, inspired by Creed Virgin Island Water (2007)

Virgin Island Water opens like a lime and coconut cocktail, the citrus zesty and the coconut milky. Bergamot and tropical fruits fill out the top. Jasmine and white flowers give the heart a sunlit floral glow, and the base of tonka bean, white musk and patchouli adds a smooth, gently sweet finish.

About the original

Creed released Virgin Island Water in 2007, describing it as inspired by a Caribbean sailing trip. Its first official description built the scent around lime, coconut and ginger with a base of white rum and sugar cane. In 2025 the bottle was repackaged and Creed published a revised note list, while reportedly stating that the formula itself is unchanged. Rumours of its withdrawal in 2022 came from a stock shortage, and Creed continues to sell it as an Eau de Parfum in the UK, US and Europe.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Creed stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Coconut is the deciding factor: it is prominent in the composition, so it suits people who enjoy that note and will not win over anyone who does not. Around the coconut, the profile is lime, bergamot and white flowers over a gently sweet tonka and musk base.

Is Creed Virgin Island Water discontinued?

No. Creed still sells it. The 2022 rumours followed a temporary stock shortage, and Creed reportedly told a customer at the time that it had not been discontinued.

Has Virgin Island Water been reformulated?

Creed updated the packaging and note list in 2025 and is reported to have said the formula stayed the same. Some wearers say they notice differences, which we cannot confirm.

How strong is the coconut?

Prominent in the original. Coconut milk sits at the heart of the composition, balanced by lime at the top and tonka and musk below.
