Fig & Lotus Flower, inspired by Jo Malone London Fig & Lotus Flower Cologne (2020)

Fig leaf leads, green and slightly milky, the smell of a fig tree's sap rather than its fruit. Lotus brings a watery, dewy floral note that keeps things cool. Neroli, the oil from bitter orange blossom, adds a little citrus light. Vetiver, a grass root with an earthy, smoky dryness, grounds the drydown.

About the original

Jo Malone London launched Fig & Lotus Flower in September 2020 as part of its Lost in Wonder collection, inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. The brand frames the scent as lotus blooming on a shimmering pond among fig trees. It is a different scent from the house's Wild Fig & Cassis.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Jo Malone London stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its green, watery character makes it easy to wear, and there is very little sweetness. Fig lovers expecting ripe fruit or a creamy base may find it more leafy and restrained than they hoped.
