Yum Boujee Marshmallow, inspired by Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow 81 (2024)

Pink Lady apple, nectarine blossom and Italian lemon give a tart, airy start, with freesia adding a light floral note. Marshmallow then takes over, soft and pillowy, with strawberry and coconut flakes alongside. The base is whipped vanilla and raspberry sugar on a pink musk and ambrox, sweet from start to finish. Orange blossom keeps a faint floral thread through the heart.

About the original

Kayali launched Yum Boujee Marshmallow 81 in November 2024 as the follow-up to Yum Pistachio Gelato 33 in its Yum Collection. Mona Kattan created it with perfumer Gabriela Chelariu. The number 81 refers to how many iterations it took to finish. One retailer sells it as an Eau de Parfum Intense, while Kayali's UAE site lists it as an Eau de Parfum, and the brand does not assign its scents a gender.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kayali stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Sugar is the whole idea here, from marshmallow to raspberry sugar. Coconut and strawberry run through the heart, so it is a poor match for anyone who finds gourmands cloying.
