Baiser Vole, inspired by Cartier Baiser Volé (2011)

Baiser Volé is a soliflore, a perfume that studies one flower, and here the flower is lily. It opens green and leafy, with galbanum lending the snap of a freshly cut stem. The lily then unfolds, at moments recalling rose and at others gardenia, with the spicy edge typical of the real bloom. Over time the scent becomes rounder, settling into musk and vanilla with a fine, powdery finish that stays polished rather than sugary.

About the original

Mathilde Laurent, Cartier's in-house perfumer, created Baiser Volé in 2011; the name translates as 'stolen kiss'. The house followed it with an Eau de Toilette in 2012 and later Extrait and Parfum versions, all distinct from this eau de parfum. This page refers to the 2011 eau de parfum.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Cartier stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

A good fit for anyone who likes composed florals with a green streak, it works well in spring and for everyday wear. Lily can read as heady and slightly spicy, and the finish carries some powder.

No. Baiser de Russie is a different fragrance from Guerlain, despite the similar name.
