Cristal Edp, inspired by Narciso Rodriguez NARCISO Eau de Parfum Cristal (2022)

Cristal opens with bergamot, a citrus that smells both fresh and slightly floral, and freesia, which feels watery and clean. Rose, jasmine and orange blossom fill in the centre, soft and transparent rather than heady. Below them runs the NARCISO musk, with cedarwood and cashmeran making the base quietly woody. Overall it reads light and luminous rather than heavy.

About the original

Nathalie Gracia-Cetto composed Cristal, launched in March 2022 as a flanker of NARCISO (2014). Narciso Rodriguez stated that more than 85 per cent of its ingredients are of natural origin, including upcycled rose and Italian bergamot. The bottle is clear glass with a pink tint and a matte pink cap. It is part of the current NARCISO collection.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Narciso Rodriguez stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Daily wear is where Cristal makes most sense: work, errands, lunches. It feels light and polished, never loud. People hoping for depth or sweetness from a NARCISO scent may prefer Poudrée, with its richer woody base.
