Dare, inspired by Guess Dare (2014)

Published top notes for Dare vary between sources, so this page describes it from the heart onwards. That heart is a blend of jasmine and rose with cactus flower, a green, watery floral note that keeps the bouquet airy. Coconut appears in the base, tempered by musk and pale woods, so the finish is smooth and gently tropical rather than heavy. It was released as an eau de toilette and keeps that easy, uncomplicated weight.

About the original

Guess introduced Dare in 2014 as an eau de toilette for women. Now Smell This reported that perfumer Bruno Jovanovic developed it. It is separate from the Guess Girl and Seductive lines and was positioned as an inexpensive, everyday scent. The Guess fragrance licence is now held by Inter Parfums.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Guess stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Casual wearers who want something cheerful and uncomplicated will get on with it. Coconut is listed in the base, so it is worth knowing about if you dislike tropical notes. There is nothing smoky, powdery or dense here.
