Idole Power, inspired by Lancôme Idôle Power L'Eau de Parfum Intense (2024)

Pomarose is a captive ingredient with a rosy, fruity smell, and here it reads like a sugared apple sitting on top of the flower. Under it is the house Idole rose, said to be Damask rose, which gives the composition a clear floral spine. Sandalwood then brings a creamy, slightly milky wood to the base. The structure is simple, three named notes, so the fruit and rose stay legible throughout.

About the original

Idole Power is an Eau de Parfum Intense flanker of Lancôme Idole, described by the brand as the line's first fruity woody floral. It reached US shops in late December 2024, and its campaign with Olivia Rodrigo was announced in January 2025. The perfumers have not been named in the sources we checked. Only one concentration of Idole Power exists.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lancôme stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rose lovers who like a candied, fruity edge are the obvious match. Lancôme pitches it as a warm, fruity, intense version of Idole. Because the apple-like pomarose is sweet and prominent, people who want a dry or green rose may find it too sugary.

Pomarose opens it with a candied apple and rose effect, glossy and fruity.

The Idole rose then comes forward, a Damask rose that keeps the heart floral rather than purely fruity.

A creamy sandalwood base rounds it off, smoothing the sweetness into a woody finish.

How does Idole Power differ from Idole Now?

Idole Power pairs rose with pomarose and sandalwood for a fruity woody effect. Idole Now (2023) pairs rose with a powdery orchid accord and vanilla. We make both.

Is your version an Eau de Parfum Intense?

No. The original Idole Power is sold as an Eau de Parfum Intense; our version is made as an eau de parfum in 50 or 100 ml.

What is pomarose?

A fragrance ingredient that smells of rose and fruit at once. Lancôme likens it to a candied or sugared apple.
