Jour D'Hermes, inspired by Hermès Jour d'Hermès (2012)

Rather than portraying one flower, Jour d'Hermès sketches the impression of a whole bouquet. Gardenia gives it a creamy centre and sweet pea a fresh, honeyed lightness. Critics have noted a green, sappy facet, even a faintly vegetal one, like stems in a florist's bucket. The effect is clear and luminous, closer to a watercolour than an oil painting.

About the original

Jean-Claude Ellena, then Hermès's in-house perfumer, created Jour d'Hermès in 2012, and it reached most markets in early 2013. He described it as flowers and flowers alone. The refillable bottle was designed by Pierre Hardy. A flanker, Jour d'Hermès Absolu, sits alongside it in the Hermès range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Hermès stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its quiet clarity fits a wearer who prefers to be noticed up close. Hermès calls it fresh and delicate, so a dense, statement floral it is not.
