The Story Behind the Scent

Released in 1978, Magie Noire became a symbol of mystery and seduction, a dark chypre built around heady flowers and a rich, mossy, animalic base.

Our interpretation follows that character. We keep the blackcurrant and galbanum green up top, let tuberose, jasmine and ylang fill a heady middle, and finish on a deep patchouli, oakmoss and musk base.

The original is a designer classic. We build ours at a higher perfume oil concentration so the rich florals last longer, while keeping the same vintage character.
