Spettacolore, inspired by Bvlgari Allegra Spettacolore (2022)

Citrus gives Spettacolore a clean, lit-up start, then iris takes over. In perfume, iris smells powdery and a little rooty, like cosmetic powder with an earthy undertone. Running beneath it is myrrh, a resin with a balsamic, faintly bitter sweetness, which gradually turns the powder into something deeper and more amber-like. Bvlgari frames the scent as a play between light and darkness, and the move from citrus to resin follows that idea.

About the original

Spettacolore arrived in early 2022 as part of Bvlgari's Allegra collection, launched with Allegra Baciami and the Magnifying Myrrh essence. In the UK it was first sold as a Harrods exclusive from July 2022. Bvlgari links it to the Festa della Luce, a winter ritual of light in Puglia. Jacques Cavallier is behind the Allegra collection, which was designed to be layered with Bvlgari's Magnifying essences.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Bvlgari stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Wearers drawn to powdery iris who find pure iris scents too cool will appreciate the amber underneath. It reads as polished and composed rather than playful. Powder is the dominant texture, so it will not satisfy a buyer looking for a citrus scent.
