Premier Jour, inspired by Nina Ricci Premier Jour (2001)

Mandarin gives a gentle citrus glow at the start, and gardenia appears almost immediately, so the top is already floral. Its heart is the distinctive part: orchid and sweet pea paired with candied almond, which recalls the sugar-coated almonds the French call dragées. That almond note adds powder and a light sweetness without tipping into dessert. Sandalwood and musk carry it into a smooth, quiet finish.

About the original

Premier Jour came out in 2001, with the composition credited to Carlos Benaïm and Sophie Labbé and a bottle designed by Fabien Baron. One reference classes it as an oriental floral, while retailers describe it as a delicate, luminous floral. It no longer appears in Nina Ricci's official range, and some sellers still list remaining stock. Later flankers carrying the Premier Jour name are separate from this original.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Nina Ricci stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.
