Totem Orange

Totem Orange, inspired by Kenzo Totem Orange (2015)

Bitter orange and lemon give a bright, pithy opening that leans dry rather than sugary. Lemon blossom then takes the lead, joined by green fig and a little peach for roundness. Vetiver, an earthy root with a smoky edge, anchors the base alongside cedar and white musk. The cacao is faint, adding a dusty, cocoa-powder darkness beneath the citrus.

About the original

Kenzo launched Totem Orange in 2015 as one of three unisex Totem scents, alongside Totem Blue and Totem White, with vitality as its stated theme. Nathalie Gracia-Cetto and Olivier Pescheux are usually credited with it, and the bottle was designed by the Japanese studio Nendo. It came as a 50 ml eau de toilette. Totem Orange no longer appears in Kenzo's current range, and major European retailers list it as out of stock.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kenzo stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Kenzo marketed it to women and men alike, and it wears that way: citrus and fig over dry woods, without obvious sweetness. The vetiver and cacao base is drier than a juicy orange scent would suggest.

It no longer appears in Kenzo's range and is listed as out of stock at major retailers. We have found no public statement from Kenzo.

Is Totem Orange for men or women?

Kenzo released it as a unisex scent within the Totem trio.

Is Kenzo Totem Orange coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Kenzo that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
