Stellar Times, inspired by Louis Vuitton Stellar Times (2021)

Louis Vuitton calls Stellar Times an amber oriental, and the amber frames everything. Orange blossom sits at the centre, honeyed and lush. Woody notes run through the amber accord, and Peru balsam, a South American resin with a vanilla-like, faintly spicy sweetness, rounds the finish. Dense and glowing, it is never fresh in the citrus sense.

About the original

Stellar Times belongs to Les Extraits, Louis Vuitton's collection of highly concentrated perfumes, and was released in 2021. Its bottle, by architect Frank Gehry, reworks Marc Newson's original Louis Vuitton bottle. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud composed it, and its companions in the collection include Cosmic Cloud, Dancing Blossom, Rhapsody, Myriad and Fantasmagory. LV still sells it.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Louis Vuitton stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Comfort and depth are the draw, and it suits someone who likes amber scents with a floral heart. The sweetness of the balsam and amber may be too much for a wearer who prefers dry woods or crisp citrus.
