Vetiver

Vetiver, inspired by Creed Original Vetiver (2004)

Vetiver is a grass root that smells earthy, woody and faintly smoky, but Creed's version keeps it clean and green. Lemon and green notes lead, so the start comes close to a crisp citrus cologne. Ginger adds a tingle and cypress a resinous, evergreen dryness. White musk smooths the vetiver in the base and stops it turning dark.

About the original

Original Vetiver appeared shortly before Original Santal, which places it around 2004, though no official launch date has been confirmed. It shares the 'Original' naming with Santal and is sold as unisex. Creed Wild Vetiver, launched in 2026, is a separate and newer fragrance; this page follows Original Vetiver, which Creed still sells as an eau de parfum.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Creed stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Compared with darker, smokier vetivers, this one sits at the fresh, citrusy end, which makes it an easy choice for people new to the note. Fans of earthy, rooty vetiver may find it too clean.

Very little. Lemon, green notes and white musk keep the vetiver clean and fresh rather than smoky or earthy.
