In the heart, pink praline and white nectarine sweeten a bouquet of jasmine, Damask rose and orange blossom. Sugared musk, sandalwood and vanilla absolute form the base, with amber and a touch of oakmoss adding shadow so the sweetness keeps some shape.

About the original

Kayali released The Wedding Silk Santal in June 2023 as one half of a pair, alongside the darker The Wedding Velvet Santal 35. Launch coverage called Silk Santal the 'for her' scent of the two, though Kayali does not gender its fragrances. Perfumer Gabriela Chelariu is credited on the brand's site, and the collection is built around weddings and gifting.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kayali stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Bridal parties and wedding gifts are the obvious fit, since Kayali built the collection around weddings. Despite the santal name, it comes across as a sweet floral first, with sandalwood in a supporting role. Praline and sugared musk make it noticeably sweet, which may not suit lovers of dry woods.
