The 'lime' in the name is the linden tree, not the citrus fruit. Linden flowers smell honeyed, green and faintly lemony, and this cologne stays with that natural impression. Bergamot gives the start a fresh lift, while tarragon adds a slightly aniseed, herbal edge. What sweetness there is feels like pollen rather than sugar.

About the original

Reports differ on when it launched: one blog dates it to 2005 and one database to 1995. A 2018 blog said Jo Malone staff had confirmed it was leaving the regular range, and by 2020 it was reportedly on sale in the brand's online Archive Collection of retired scents. In October 2026 it was in neither that collection nor the UK and US cologne ranges.
