Legend Intense, inspired by Montblanc Legend Intense (2013)

Pineapple and bergamot give the top a clean, fruity freshness. Cardamom and pepperwood, a peppery spice note, bring the heat, while red apple and jasmine keep the heart clear rather than heavy. Tonka bean and amber then smooth out the base. The oakmoss here is Evernyl, a modern molecule with a fresh, mossy character.

About the original

Montblanc released Legend Intense in September 2013 as a more intense take on Legend, its 2011 men's fragrance. Launch press credited Olivier Pescheux and highlighted the use of Evernyl. Despite the Intense name, it came as an Eau de Toilette. Montblanc's current Legend collection no longer includes it.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Montblanc stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Clean fruit and light spice set the tone, with pineapple and tonka providing the sweetness. Men who prefer fresh, tidy scents to heavy ones will get on with it. Smoke and resin play no part, so it will feel too polished for lovers of darker scents.

Is Montblanc Legend Intense discontinued?

It no longer appears in Montblanc's Legend collection, though the brand has not made a statement. Legend, Legend Red and Legend Spirit are still in the range.

Is Legend Intense an eau de parfum?

No, Montblanc released it as an Eau de Toilette in 2013. Ours, by contrast, is made as an eau de parfum.

How does it differ from Legend Night?

Legend Intense leans on pineapple and apple, while Legend Night (2017) is an Eau de Parfum built around lavender and vanilla. We make both.

Is Montblanc Legend Intense coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Montblanc that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
