Izia, inspired by Sisley Izia (2017)

Rose sits at the centre of Izia, framed at the top by aldehydes, which give a clean, slightly soapy fizz, along with white bergamot and pink pepper. Jasmine, peony and lily of the valley are used transparently, so the rose feels airy rather than jammy. Angelica, a herb with a green, slightly earthy scent, adds a subtle grounding note. Cedar, amber and musks give a smooth, polished base.

About the original

Sisley introduced Izia in 2017 as an eau de parfum in 30, 50 and 100 ml. The brand calls it sensual and assertive, while press coverage at launch noted its classic rather than fashionable style. No perfumer has been published. A darker flanker, Izia La Nuit, followed later; this page is the original Izia.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Sisley stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rose lovers who find many rose perfumes either too jammy or too dewy may like its balance. The aldehydes give it a composed, slightly formal feel. It is not a gourmand rose, so there is no vanilla or fruit sweetness to soften it.
